Its been only a few weeks since Perxclub has been officially introduced in the market last September 17, 2012 at Decagon, Silver City. Yet, Perxclub is already creating a buzz for most modern Filipino consumers.
Hailed as the FIRST Philippine home-grown mobile application for customer loyalty, Perxclub is starting to change the Filipino consumerism through its innovation and convenience. And users, loyalty cards fans and bloggers alike talk about how Perxclub has changed (or will change) their shopping and dining habit.
Alwin Aquirre, author of The City Roamer complains having a thick and bulky wallet because of loyalty cards he got from different establishments, ”A thick wallet is not a comfortable thing when you’re sitting on it at the back pocket of your pants. I also learned that it darkens the skin of your derriere.”
But after Alwin learned about Perxclub, there’s no second thought. He added,
“That made me check my wallet more often, so much so that at one point, I decided to leave almost all of my cards only to realize it’s not such a wise decision because I ended up missing some deals or treats from my favorite stores. So I had to juggle between thinking over my itinerary for the day and which card to bring. I thought it’ll be like that forever until I learned about Perxclub.”
Alwin is not a Perxclub user yet and is waiting along with thousand others for Android-compatible version to be released. But he already knew what Perxclub can get him into. He further explained,
“This frees up the shopper from having to fumble through the wallet to get the card, swiping and then putting it back on the wallet. I also don’t have to worry about demagnetizing the black strip card at the back of the card. And since this is password protected, all earned rewards and recorded transactions are safe from anybody even if the phone is lost. This level of security is not present on other loyalty and rewards program.”
Meanwhile, Eva Soqueno from UP Los Banos and currently works in IBM Global Process Services, heard the Perxclub buzz over the radio through Monster Radio RX93.1 leading morning radio show The Morning Rush. She quickly took her phone, search for Perxclub on the App Store and downloaded it in just minutes. “Personally, I find the application very user friendly” she said. Eva is always on-the-go and doesn’t want to be bothered with large bags and bulky stuff. She also owns the blog Whatever Eva. A self-confessed foodie and shopaholic, Eva also find Perxlub a perfect partner for her leisure madness.
Corrine Emmata, a single mom and blogger of Single Mom, Super Mom also had the same concern. She said, ”I hate having to bring my cards around that adds up weight and space in my bag. But I have no choice but to bring them to avail those deals and discounts…”
She further complained the hassle of losing the cards she collected along with its points and stamps. But not until she heard about Perxclub.
“Another thing I hate most is once I lost my card, its either I need to pay for the replacement or need to apply again and pay for the new membership. Yes it sucks! But what can I do about it? I don’t have any choice until I learned about Perxclub!”
Yam Calambas, blogger of The Manila Urbanite also has the good vibes about Perxclub. He says, ”… good thing about this is that I don’t have to fill out all application forms to be a part of all these stores’ loyalty program. I only have to link my Facebook account, follow the prompts on my mobile phone and everything’s taken care of.”
Yam also got the chance to attend the Exclusive Launch along with other 200 bloggers, media peeps and VIPs. He met Nelson Dizon, Marketing Officer of Perxclub, at the 8th Philippine Blogging Summit last May. They met again during the launch. He added, ”With all the hints and little details of what it is all about, it felt like my wallet wants to give him a huge I-Love-You smooch and butterfly kisses (not for the money, silly! LOL) for this new loyalty and rewards mobile application.”
Ness Mercader, a loyalty cards fan and owner of The Atta Girl blogsite, got almost 10 loyalty cards in her pocket! She often carry them whenever she hangs out. These cards made her wallet such a heavy burden that sometimes, she intend to take out just the cash and leave the entire wallet at home. But of course, she just can’t do that. Ness was then introduced to Perxclub. She got amazed how creative and innovative it is to put all her physical cards into her iPhone digitally. Now, she doesn’t have to bring 10 loyalty cards everyday. All she need is her mobile phone and she’s ready to go shop and dine. ”I am already using my Perxclub in my phone and been collecting stamps too! I can’t wait to be able to have enough stamps and eventually redeem my rewards. Weeee!” she uttered.
The same incident is true with Mai Franco, author of Basta Igat, Sikat and a public officer in her community. She also enjoys shopping and dining. She went out one day to get a spa and later on realized that she wasn’t able to bring with her the spa’s loyalty card! She could have gotten 1 free spa that day if she only have it with her. She said, “You know, a wallet can only hold so much cards and frankly speaking, I’m too much of a scatterbrain to actually remember where I put all these cards! Add the instances where I have to change wallets and bags, then it’s history.” So for Mai, having Perxclub on her phone is such a relief. “This app is truly something for people with memory deficits like me who can’t even remember what I ate yesterday. But that’s beside the point really because with this Perxclub app, all your loyalty cards are neatly intact! You just can’t lose them!” Mai salutes Mr. Jerry Ilao, the man behind Perxclub mobile up. “For me, this is like an answered prayer for all Pinoy consumers” she added.
